Sawn to be Wild

Media terms

Version: media-terms-v1-2026-10

These terms apply when you upload photos or videos to a habitat page on sawntobewild.com.

Your content stays yours. You keep the copyright in anything you upload. By uploading, you give Sawn to be Wild a free, non-exclusive licence to use it as described below.

If you choose “Website only”, we'll only show your photos and videos on the page of the habitat you uploaded them to.

If you choose “Help spread the word”, we may also use them on our website, social media, newsletters and promotional materials, including campaigns with the sponsor of that habitat, and the sponsor may share them for the same purpose. We'll credit you where we can.

Videos aren't shown on the website. We only use them on social media and in newsletters, and only if you choose “Help spread the word”.

We may resize, crop or caption your content, and we may use software (including AI tools) to help select or caption it. We won't edit it in a way that misrepresents the wildlife or the place.

We check everything first. We may choose not to show something, for example if it shows a person, a house number or a street name. We remove location data from photos when you upload them.

By uploading, you confirm that:

Changing your mind. You can change your choice or ask us to remove your content at any time by emailing hello@sawntobewild.com with the habitat code. We'll stop any new use straight away and remove it from our own website and channels where we reasonably can. Material that's already been printed or published by others may not be recallable.

Your personal data. If you give us your email, we use it only to manage your upload and permission (for example, to confirm a change request or credit you). See our privacy notice for more.
